Assess automotive warehouse ventilation according to stored vehicles, activities and possible emissions. An HVLS fan circulates air; it does not replace extraction or equipment required for areas with particular hazards.
Two considerations for HVLS fans in an automotive warehouse:
Air distribution: record building dimensions, racks and vehicle positions before planning fan locations. Air circulation must be compatible with warehouse activities and existing ventilation.
Storage conditions: check temperature and humidity requirements and outdoor-air exchange needs. Air circulation alone does not guarantee corrosion prevention, moisture control or management of hazards involving flammable materials.
